The challenge
- The client is a publicly funded autonomous university and one of the oldest institutions in Singapore.
- With over 5,000 staff and 40,000 students, it had implemented SAP to manage its activities, with SAP BW for reporting.
- Integration with SAP BusinessObjects was challenging because of the university's unique requirements.
Solution
What we did
- To overcome the integration challenge, we proposed upgrading the SAP BusinessObjects platform to version 4.x.
- Integrated SAP BW with BusinessObjects seamlessly.
- Provided alternative solutions where the integration could not meet business users' expectations.

Outcomes
What changed for the client
- The university's team can access SAP BW data from the SAP BusinessObjects platform, which laid the roadmap for future enhancement of the platform.
- The integration enabled the university to leverage the existing investment in SAP BW data models and content.
- This was the first upgrade to BO 4.x in Southeast Asia and was awarded best project by SAP.
